St. John's School

A New Plant Room

St John's School is a co-educational independent school in Leatherhead, Surrey with around 660 pupils aged between 13 and 18. It was founded in 1851 and occupies a very picturesque corner of Leatherhead. One of the plant rooms at the school was in need of some long overdue upgrading and renewing. Omega Building Services based in Caterham-on-the-Hill were tasked with this project. Roger and his team decided that they would use a mechanical press system to complete the works as it's speed of installation would mean that the job could be completed quickly and safely before the beginning of the new school year. The M-Press systems offer a flame free solution to pipe and fittings jointing with no hot works to worry about. Hot works permits can be inconvenient and do not always provide a safe and clean area in which to work.

With the M-Press system of Copper, Omega were able to complete the project to a very high standard that will give St John's a 30 year + installed warranty and many, many years of trouble free service. The installation used M-Press Copper fittings from 35mm to 54mm.
